An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday, in the case of a North Carolina man who died while climbing at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

Authorities say the body of 59 year old James Douglas McQueen, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was pulled from about 600 feet below the canyon's north rim late Saturday.

McQueen apparently died of a heart attack. He was climbing the
Journey Home route with two partners when he died on Friday.

His partners told authorities they secured their friend's body
to the cliff with ropes and finished the climb to reach a phone.
