Teens Sentenced

Fifteen-year-olds Eric Sean Alderfer and Tyler James Hancock
were found guilty of state arson and other charges in February.
They started the Snaking fire while smoking behind their school in
April of last year.

A judge ordered both teens to serve two years probation and
perform 960 hours of community service.

The judge did not address the issue of restitution. The blaze
cost more than two-point-six (m) million dollars to put out.

No serious injuries were reported.

A friend who was smoking with the teens testified against them.
He's scheduled to stand trial June 23rd.
