An academy spokesman says Colonel Thomas Bowie has retained his rank as a permanent professor but is not teaching. Bowie won't return to teaching until an investigation is complete.
Academy officials have been looking into the incident for more than a year.
Air Force Secretary James Roche (roach) deplored Bowie's decision to allow scenes from the Monty Python movie ``The Meaning of Life'' to be performed at a dinner in April 2002.
The skit was a parody of a sex education class in which the instructor provides graphic explanations of technique.
Roche also removed Bowie as chairman of the department of English and Fine Arts.
