Colorado's water supply is in the best shape in two years but nobody is saying the drought is over. The statewide snowpack was 94% of average, 356% of last year.
Klaus Wolter is a climatolgist at the Boulder-based National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Climate Diagnostics Center. He says if Denver area users can reduce water consumption by 30% and the wet spring continues, its reservoirs could reach 100%.
In Aurora, whose reservoirs have dropped to 27%, officials hope a combination of factors will allow them to fill to at least 50% this summer
