An autopsy is being done on an 18-year-old, who died late Sunday night.

Police say Morgan Asbury was driving home from a friend's house when she swerved across the street and smashed into the drainage ditch. Police believe she was over the legal alcohol limit and not wearing her seatbelt.

Brent Garretson was at home at midnight that night. “I was reading and then I heard a car crash. Someone was laying in seat and I told Darren to call an ambulance."

Her friends have left behind flowers at the accident site. Their letters are their final words to her. “Beautiful, that's what you are...” “I will miss you.”

Police said if they find the person who possibly gave Asbury the alcohol, that person could be charged with a misdemeanor offense. They said it's not a felony because Asbury was 18 years old and not a minor.

Asbury's family says she had just graduated from high school the night before the accident. She was going to go to Greeley in the fall hoping to become a nurse.
