Search Scaled Back

Officials say they're scaling back search operations for two missing climbers on Mount Foraker in Alaska, including one from Colorado.

Denali National Park and Preserve spokeswoman Kris Fister says officials have decided to suspend the search for 36-year-old Sue Nott of Vail, Colorado, and 37-year-old Karen McNeill of Canmore, Alberta.

Officials say cloudy weather isn't expected to improve in the next few days. Only limited aerial searches have taken place in the last week due to cloud cover and high winds near the mountain.

The climbers were last seen on May 14th at the base of the Infinite Spur route on Mount Foraker.

Officials say they had supplies that would've lasted only 18 days under the best conditions, which means Nott and McNeill have had no water for at least ten days.
