Fire officials are investigating after three people were burned in an explosion on a motorboat at a state park southeast of Denver.
Steve Standridge with the South Metro Fire Rescue Authority reportedly says the explosion at Cherry Creek Marina was reported at about 11 a.m. Sunday. The victims, whose names and ages have not been released, suffered first- and/or second-degree burns.
Standridge says it appears fuel on the boat caused the blast, but the investigation is still in its initial stages.
The marina is in Cherry Creek State Park.
