A second Colorado Democrat who supported gun control measures this year could find out Monday whether her opponents are turning in petitions to recall her.

Gun-rights activists in Pueblo say they will turn in enough signatures for a recall election for Sen. Angela Giron. The secretary of state's office has about three weeks to determine whether enough signatures have been collected.

Last week, opponents of Democratic Senate President John Morse turned in signatures calling for a recall in Morse's Colorado Springs district.

No state lawmaker has been recalled since Colorado adopted the recall more than a century ago. Gun-rights activists say they were so angered by this year's gun limits that they decided to mount recall campaigns against four Democratic lawmakers. Two of those attempts have already fizzled.
