Why The Video Looks Shaky (Don Ward)
Updated: 06/18/2013 - We did a quick helicopter tour of the Black Forest burn area. Someone asked why the video looks shaky.
A small group gathered at Clement Park, right next to the Littleton high school to remember the 13 victims of the shootings.
Greg Zanis, the man who put up the original crosses to remember the Columbine victims returned this time with 13 smaller ones to be placed on Columbine's Rebel Hill. He says many of the victims family members came down to see them today.
Many of the victims families said they wanted to spend this day quietly without a public ceremony. But, for others it was especially important to go the park on easter for remembrance and personal reflection.
The same 13 crosses that were put on Rebel Hill on Sunday, were carried up Pikes Peak Saturday in a special ceremony.
The families of the victims of the 1999 massacre are working to have a permanent memorial built at Clement Park. The $3 million structure will feature a tribute to each of the victims.
Organizers hope the permanent Columbine memorial will be built in time for the fifth anniversary, which is next year.
