It was a big day for one Falcon teenager as she graduated high school just five years after being adopted from Russia.
Svetlana Thomas and her sister Marina spent three years in an orphanage after both of their parents passed away. They were taken in by Peter and Dee Thomas at the ages of thirteen and twelve.
When they came to America, they didn't speak any English and had never even been in a car. On Saturday, Svetlana graduated at the top of her class at Falcon High School as a member of the National Honor Society. She speaks four languages, and is heading for Colorado College next fall.
Svetlana's younger sister Marina just finished up her junior year at Falcon.
