There's an apparent explanation for the witness reports of someone being taken away by ambulance from the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington today.
Police have said there are no reports of injuries, as they search the building following reports of the sound of gunfire.
A spokesman for Republican Congressman Jack Kingston of Georgia says a member of his staff was in the building's gymnasium when the building was put under lockdown. The statement says the woman was "a little shaken up" by the events, and that she was taken to a hospital by ambulance. It says she's "doing well."
The gym is on the second floor of the parking garage of the Rayburn building.
