Authorities have identified a Fort Carson soldier killed in a one-vehicle rollover as a 20-year-old Army private from Georgia.
Officials from the Colorado State Patrol and the Fort Carson Army post say Laurie Boylston died Monday when the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt she was riding in overturned early that morning.
Fremont County Coroner Dorothy Twellman says Boylston died almost instantly from massive skull and internal injuries.
The Patrol says 26-year-old John Wytak was driving the car when he lost control on a curve, over-corrected, spun off the other side of the road and rolled four-and-a-half times.
Wytak is listed in critical but stable condition in the Penrose Hospital intensive care unit.
His rank has not been released.
Both are part of the Second Brigade Combat Team.
