Murder suspect Jason Clausen has plead guilty to killing a college student earlier this year.
The 22-year-old entered the plea this morning during his arraignment in Larimer County District Court.
He was immediately sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Clausen was charged with first-degree murder and second-degree kidnapping in the death of 20-year-old Lacy Miller. Her family had reported the University of Northern Colorado student missing Jan. 18.
Searchers found her body eight days later in the Cache La Poudre Canyon northwest of Fort Collins.
Clausen pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder charge. Prosecutors agreed to accept the plea and said they would not pursue the death penalty.
