The man accused of intentionally setting a fire that killed his three children for insurance money makes another court appearance Friday afternoon in Colorado Springs.
Timothy Nicholls faces multiple charges of murder and arson. His defense team wants numerous search warrants thrown out. They claim at the time of the fire there was not enough probable cause to obtain the search warrants.
However, the District Attorney’s office argues the circumstances were suspicious and they needed to investigate. Prosecutors claim they were able to find the evidence they need because of the warrants. The judge in the case did not rule on any of the motions just yet.
