A Denver firefighter is hospitalized in serious but stable condition after being hurt on duty at a house fire this morning.
Denver Fire Chief Larry Trujillo says it doesn't appear the firefighter was burned, but the cause of his injuries is not yet known.
Trujillo says the fire produced intense flames and heavy smoke.
Authorities say some firefighters went to retrieve another hose, and found their colleague on the floor when they returned.
He was given CPR and transported to Denver Health Medical Center.
His name has not been released.
