A storm system will begin to impact Southern Colorado by late this morning. Mountain locations will simply see snow, but lower elevations will see rain eventually change to snow by later this afternoon. Locations higher in elevation will see the heaviest snow, due to colder temperatures. So then, Teller County, far northwest El Paso County, and the Wet & Sangre de Cristo Mountains will likely see several inches of wet snow. The major cities will see far less snow and the storm will exit toward early Saturday morning.
The process of getting a speeding ticket should be much quicker for those stopped in Pueblo County.
The Pueblo County Sheriff's Department is installing a new internet based computer system designed to not only speed up the ticket writing process, but also eliminate the mistakes.
When an officer pulls over driver, he or she will scan the driver's license to search for wants and warrants. The officer will then paste the driver's license information into a pre-formatted ticket and print it out in the patrol car.
Officers say the new system will cut down the average ticket writing time by at least five minutes per ticket.
