Mario Robert Galindo has been designated by the court as a Sexually Violent Predator. That's a sex offender who meets certain legal criteria for the designation. Galindo will be released from prison, on probation, May 10.
Galindo was convicted for sexual assault on a child. He sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl and 14-year-old girl at his home in 2005. Alcohol was involved, and Pueblo Police say, Galindo knew his victims.
Galindo is the 16th sexually violent predator in the State of Colorado. Galindo is the only one in Pueblo City & County with the "S.V.P." designation. Pueblo City & County have about 496 registered sex offenders.
Galindo will live at 417 1/2 North Santa Fe. His probation will last 10 years to life.
