After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. Aurora police say one teenager is dead and five others are injured after their cars lost control during an illegal street race.
Police say the two cars were racing on Airport Road speeding up to 80 miles-per-hour.
The accident happened Friday afternoon after of the cars clipped the other, causing one car to lose control, flip over the median and roll five or six times.
Three of the teens are in critical or serious condition at Aurora Medical Center South. A female passenger was partially ejected from one of the cars and suffered severe head injuries. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The identities of the Montbello High School students are not being released.
