About 1,400 homes have been damaged by flooding in just one Texas county.

The estimate of flooded homes in Starr County nearly doubled today after officials assessed damage from nearly 13 inches of rain. No deaths or serious injuries are reported.

On the other end of the state, rescuers near Wichita Falls used boats and military vehicles to rescue about 150 people from homes or stranded vehicles. Flooding also hit El Reno, Oklahoma, just west of Oklahoma City.

High water has blocked more than a dozen Oklahoma roads, but no large-scale evacuations have been ordered.

The National Weather Service is forecasting more rain across Oklahoma during the night, and it's issued flood warnings for several counties.
