After snowfall along the I-25 corridor Sunday be on the lookout for slick road conditions tonight and during your Monday morning commute. Some areas picked up several inches of snow through the day and, while additional snowfall is not expected to continue, snow packed and wet roadways will freeze overnight as temperatures drop into the teens. Bundle up and take it slow as you head out on the roads. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
U.S. Senators John Warner and Wayne Allard are asking for a change in leadership at the Air Force Academy in the wake of a sexual assault scandal. They've requested that a female officer be assigned to a top position.
The Senators say new leadership would provide a much-needed change in the culture of the academy. The Air Force says there have been at least 56 reports of sexual assaults of female cadets in the last decade. Lieutenant General John Dallager has been academy superintendent since June of 2000 and was scheduled to retire this summer. Brigadier General Sylvanus Taco Gilbert has been commandant since 2001.
The Air Force has said that the two would not lose their jobs because the problems predate their leadership. The Air Force has two investigations under way at the academy into allegations that female cadets were reprimanded or ostracized for reporting sexual assaults. The Defense Department's inspector general plans to start its own investigation by the end of March.
