A strong cold front will move through Southern Colorado on Tuesday. It will bring much colder temperatures (especially in the afternoon), strong wind, & a few rain and snow showers. Light accumulations and poor visibility possible for a time by late afternoon and evening north of Colorado Springs and south/southwest of Pueblo. Bottomline, your Tuesday will feel a lot different than the past two days. Be prepared...
President Bush has declared Colorado a major disaster area because of wildfires.
The declaration Wednesday makes federal loans available for families
and businesses that lost property.
Assistance includes Small Business Administration disaster loans
to homeowners and renters who were uninsured or underinsured;
individual and family grants up to 14-thousand-800; temporary
housing assistance; unemployment assistance; and money to help
businesses replace lost inventory.
The assistance goes back to fires beginning April 23rd, when a
wildfire near Bailey forced the evacuation of hundreds of homes.
