Colorado Springs police have arrested 35-year-old Melvin Tipton. They say he was babysitting 21-month-old Charles Hickerson back in 2006 when the child was badly injured.

Charles' mother says when she picked him up, he had bruises on his head. A short time later, he stopped breathing. His mother rushed him to Penrose Community Hospital, and he was later taken by helicopter to Denver Children's Hospital where he died.

An investigation over the next two years included a review by several experts and physicians. Investigators determined Charles' injuries were no accident, and handed the case over to the District Attorney's office.

Tipton was arrested at work on Tuesday. He was booked into the El Paso Criminal Justice Center on felony charges of Child Abuse involving Death.

It's taken two years to figure out it wasn't an accident. Send the demon straight to hell without passing go. And to think no one knew he had issues.
