The judge in Zacarias Moussaoui's trial has decided that only those in the courtroom will hear the 9/11 cockpit recording of United Airlines Flight 93, the plane that crashed in a Pennsylvania field.
Judge Leonie Brinkema made her decision the same day she warned prosecutors they're on "shaky ground" for presenting such emotional witness testimony about September Eleventh events.
Brinkema accepted a promise for briefer witness statements after telling government lawyers that too much "prejudicial" emotion could provoke an appeal.
Prosecutors today played 9-1-1 tapes made by two victims trapped in the twin towers. Witnesses also told about the agonies of explaining to children that their parents wouldn't be coming home.
