In addition to the lettters, the Inspector General's office also has set up a hot line where cadets can report sexual assaults, including cases they feel were mishandled.

The academy has come under scrutiny for how it has handled
reports of rapes. Yesterday the Air Force said it has punished 21 male cadets for sex related crimes since 1990.

But a spokesman for Senator Wayne Allard says some female cadets
have told Allard they were the ones who were punished after
reporting they were assaulted.
