The Air Force Inspector General has established a phone line for United States Air Force Academy cadet victms of sexual assault to report their assault to the Inspector General.

Current and former cadets may call 703-588-1541. The phone line will be manned from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

The Inspector General began an investigation on Monday of individual sexual assault cases of cadets and former cadets. The Inspector General interviews will be for official Air Force use only and all information will be protected to the maximum extent possible under the Privacy Act.

Individuals that previously reported an assault through the Office of Special Investigation, the Air Force Academy chain of command, or other channels, but feel their case was not handled properly, should also report their case to the Inspector General for further investigation.
