The afternoon rush hour has arrived in Denver -- where more than 17-hundred transit workers are in the first full day of a strike.

The strike is the first against the Regional Transportation District in 24 years. Light rail stations are closed -- and bus service has been cut in half.

No new talks are scheduled. Officials with the union say they sought binding arbitration -- but R-T-D said no.
