At Least 23 people died Sunday night in a barrage of powerful storms in Tennessee. Tornadoes left communities crippled with destruction.
At least four others were killed in Missouri and Illinois as thunderstorms brought strong winds and large hail to the South and Midwest.
One witness in Tennessee describes seeing a tornado that was "almost a mile wide."
Meanwhile, a fire commander in Arkansas says about a half-dozen tornadoes ripped through the state, with one destroying nearly half of the town of Marmaduke.
