An 18-year-old Colorado Springs man will be sentenced to 70 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder for a drive-by shooting that killed a former Wasson High School football player.

Tyrief Reynolds entered his plea in last July's slaying of 19-year-old Diontea Jackson-Forrest.

Reynolds also pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder because Jackson-Forrest's girlfriend was in the car.

Sentencing will be October 24.

Jen, don't forget dental, medical, mental health, education and the daily pay he will receive. Guess that's one way to get help from the state without being on welfare, food stamps, houing, medicaid and other related agency's.

Bull! Now my tax dollars have to pay for this MURDERER to eat, sleep and breathe for the rest of his life. Sad thing is, he'll probably do half that time. This is crazy. I didn't know Diontea but what Tyrief did was stupid and dumb...and now he can waste away in jail for a majority of his life. Good riddance Tyrief.
