Two men accused of possession of marijuana tried to blame it on man's best friend but Colorado Springs police weren't buying it.
Police were called to an apartment Saturday by neighbors who said they smelled pot.
Officers saw a man shoving a backpack into a dog house as they arrived.
Sergeant Kerry Duran said the men than answered the door and the house reeked of marijuana.
They found drug paraphernalia in the house and four ounces of marijuana in the dog house.
Both residents of the apartment were arrested. Their names were not released.
