Black Hawk Crash Victim

By: Associated Press
Updated: Wed 9:55 PM, Mar 12, 2003

One of the eleven soldiers killed in Tuesday's Black Hawk helicopter crash was from Colorado.

Specialist Lucas V. Tripp of Aurora was on board the Army
helicopter when it crashed at a base in northern New York state
during a training mission. Only two soldiers survived.

Army investigators are on the scene, but heavy snow today is
making their work tougher.

The crew members had just practiced loading and unloading
equipment from a sling under the helicopter, and were on their way
back when the aircraft went down about three miles from an
airfield.
