The 2000 census showed that about one and six Coloradans were
uninsured, but advocates think that number could be growing because of layoffs and the double digit upsurge in the cost of coverage. More
employers are also being forced to cut benefits because of the
increases.

The five day conference is open to the public and opens at the
Denver Marriott City Center.
