Moderate snow continues to fall for some areas of northern El Paso and Teller Counties, accumulating in the grass and yards. Meanwhile, in the plains and along the southern I-25 stretch, light rain/snow mix continues. Take it slow on the roadways - due to VERY strong winds, we are seeing blowing dirt and snow (depending on the region), which is tremendously reducing visibility. The U-S Olympic Committee has yet to set a timetable for replacing key executives who've resigned.
And acting U-S-O-C President Bill Martin says he's not going to
be in a panic mode to bring in replacements.
Some committee members are searching for potential candidates
for chief executive officer. But Martin says there's no hurry to
name permanent leaders because of improved staff morale and
competent temporary managers.
Martin says the delay in hiring a new chief operating officer or
filling other positions will result in significant financial savings.
Those savings will be funneled to sports groups and athletes.
