Four members of Colorado's Congressional delegation are pushing for a national cemetery in the Pikes Peak region.
Senators Wayne Allard and Ken Salazar, and Representatives Joel Hefley and John Salazar, introduced a bill yesterday that would create a national cemetery.
They noted an estimated 100-thousand veterans and 110-thousand spouses live in El Paso, Pueblo, Fremont and Teller counties.
Senator Salazar says the veterans' families need a final resting place close to home where their families can visit.
