Chief operating officer Fred Wohlschlaeger resigned last night,
becoming the second high-ranking member of the U-S-O-C in three
days to step down.

Chief executive Lloyd Ward, who hired Wohlschlaeger a little
over a year ago, resigned Saturday after three months of turmoil
stemming conflict-of-interest charges against him.

Eight U-S-O-C officials have resigned, including president Marty
Mankamyer and ethics compliance officer Pat Rodgers, since Ward was
investigated for an ethics violation in December.
