Gusty wind, low relative humidities, warm temperatures, and dry fuels will all combine to produce high fire danger on Wednesday. Red Flag Warning goes into effect at Noon and lasts until 8pm. Please, no outdoor burning or use of flammable materials. Head to the "Weather" Tab for more information on the forecast.
A cold and windy day is ahead for Friday, which is a big change from Thursday, when it felt more like Spring. Lots of people were playing hooky from work at a golf course, where the temperature was rapidly changing. “When I came down (to the starter house), the temperature was over 60 degrees, but now, it dropped down to 48,” Patty Jewett Starter Bill Bokelman said.
Bikers also took advantage of the Spring like temperatures, but they also know to dress for the part. As we well know, Colorado weather can change in an instant. Spring fever is in the air, but many people enjoying the warm weather say that Old Man Winter isn’t quite ready for a nap.
As many of tackle on the morning commute, it’s advised to allow plenty of time to get to work.
