Federal and local law enforcement officials busted a major drug organization Wednesday in Colorado Springs, after nearly two years of work.
Eleven people are under arrest. Their names are Elvin Alexis Lopez, Jose L. Matta, Laura Payan-Garcia, Julio Lopez-Hernandez, Carlos Ivan Martinez, Carols Ornelos, Gustavo Acosta-Lazcano, Carlos Valdez, Juan Hernandez, Samuel Lopez, and Vicki Menas.
In Colorado Springs, agents seized 3 pounds of cocaine, 14 ounces of the ICE form of methamphetamine, $160,000 in cash, and a stash of weapons. Agents simultaneously served search warrants in seven locations on the southeast side of Colorado Springs.
During the course of this investigation, agents nationwide seized approximately 31 kilograms of cocaine, 5 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 211 pounds of marijuana and weapons.
That's in addition to $310,000 of drug related proceeds.
