Ski Rage

A Littleton man who says he "just lost control" was arrested over the weekend for allegedly attacking a 16-year-old girl on the slopes of the Steamboat Ski Area.

Fifty-two-year-old Randell Berg allegedly punched the girl in the head and neck and yelled profanities at her.

Police Captain Joel Rae says Berg attacked the girl after she ran over the skis of his eight-year-old daughter, knocking them both down.

Police say Berg told them he "just lost control when his daughter got hit."

The teenager was not seriously injured by the alleged attack, but she did tell police she was sore.

Rae says he has never heard of such an incident before, calling what happened ridiculous.

Berg is out of jail on $1000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on third-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges on February 14.
