A 17-year-old high school student says he was humiliated when his teacher made him sit on the floor during a midterm exam, for wearing a Denver Broncos jersey.

Joshua Vannoy says teacher John Kelly called him a -quote- "stinking Denver fan" and made students throw crumpled paper at him on Friday, two days before the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Broncos for the A-F-C title.

The junior at Beaver Falls High School says he was so unnerved that he left a third of the questions blank on the test.

Kelly, who wore a Ben Roethlisberger jersey Friday, and the school's principal didn't immediately return messages left on their school voice mail on Monday.

Vannoy says he wants out of Kelly's class because he's afraid he'll be treated unfairly now that the story has reached the media.

Vannoy says he a Number seven Broncos jersey that day because he's a fan of John Elway.
