After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. The main impact will be the cold along with winds gusting up to 40 mph at times. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
Police in Fort Collins are looking for whoever threw a firecracker at a carriage horse during New Year's Eve festivities, resulting in injuries to the driver.
Police say the firecracker was thrown while the carriage was carrying a family of four.
Witnesses said one of four teenage boys dressed in black and standing on a corner threw the firecracker.
Police say the firecracker spooked the horse, which ran and collided with a Ford Mustang.
Police say the carriage driver was thrown to the ground and was treated for undisclosed injuries at a hospital. The horse, which broke free in the collision, was captured a block away, uninjured.
