After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. Applicants for the firefighter positions must be at least 18-years-old, U.S. citizens and able to pass a physical conditioning test. There is no upper age limit.

With the continued drought and fire risk already increasing, the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Indian Affairs are conducting job fairs to round up seasonal wildland firefighters.
The jobs typically last from May into September.
