Larimer County medical officials have conducted an autopsy on a man who died after he was apparently pulled into a wood chipper. But they say they'll need to use fingerprints or D-N-A to confirm his identity.
Police Sergeant Rae Bontz says the victim was a tree-service employee who died Wednesday while he and a co-worker were cutting branches at a house in Loveland. Police say it was an industrial accident and that the victim was experienced in his work, but haven't released any details.
After the accident, the man's co-worker ran to the house where they were working, and a woman who lives there called 9-1-1. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also investigating.
