USOC Troubles

The Senate Commerce Committee is holding a hearing to investigate the turmoil within the U.S.Olympic Committee. The panel is looking into allegations of ethics violations against USOC chief Lloyd Ward. Ward was accused of helping his brother win a contract to the Pan American Games. Nothing was ever signed and Ward was cleared of any wrongdoing.

Shortly after, though, seven USOC officials asked president Marty Mankamyer to resign. She's accused of trying to force Ward out of his job.

Tthe hearing marks one of the few times in recent months that Ward and Mankamyer have appeared in the same room together.
