Moderate snow continues to fall for some areas of northern El Paso and Teller Counties, accumulating in the grass and yards. Meanwhile, in the plains and along the southern I-25 stretch, light rain/snow mix continues. Take it slow on the roadways - due to VERY strong winds, we are seeing blowing dirt and snow (depending on the region), which is tremendously reducing visibility. Fort Collins Police believe they have found the remains of a missing UNC student. Police have finished removing remains from a site near Fort Collins in Poudre Canyon.
The investigation to find 20-year-old Lacy Miller began more than a week ago, when she didn't come home or report for work. Police found her car just down the street from her parents' home in Fort Collins where she lived.
The coroner is expected to identify the body.
20-year-old Jason Clausen is in custody, suspected of kidnapping and killing Miller. Police believe he may have posed as a police officer and pulled the student over.
Springs Police say there are several things you can do to make sure the person pulling you over is an officer. Officers should have both a badge and a picture ID from the agency they work for. If your not sure about the flashing lights, pull over in an area that's well lit and well populated. Plus, you can call dispatch on a cell phone to verify the person is an officer.
