A former star running back for the Washington Redskins and his brother both have pleaded not guilty to a federal drug charge.
Forty-one-year-old Timmy Smith -- who holds the Super Bowl rushing record of 204 yards from the 1988 game against the Broncos -- and his brother Chris Smith are accused of trying to sell cocaine to an undercover drug agent.
They're both charged with possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of the drug -- a charge punishable by five to 40 years in prison and a two-million dollar fine.
Before his arrest, Smith worked as a detention officer at the Gilliam Youth Services Center, a residential program for troubled youth.
