There's still no word whether anyone was hurt, but officials are confirming a fiery helicopter crash at a Grand Rapids, Michigan, hospital.

Fire officials confirm a chopper went down around 11 a.m. this morning at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in the heart of downtown. Federal aviation officials say there were two people on board.

Patients are being evacuated from the building and taken to other hospitals. Police say hospital employees have also been ordered to leave due to fears fuel may have leaked into the building.

A witness tells The Grand Rapids Press she saw the helicopter's tail hit a radio tower on the hospital's roof. She says it then went into a spin, before hitting the roof and exploding in flames. Thick, black smoke could be seen billowing from the crash site.

The hospital is the only level-1 trauma center for the most serious patients in western Michigan.
