A former Air Force Academy cadet, reported missing, has been found dead in Florida.

26-year-old John Alley went missing on Friday. His body was found Monday morning in the water on the coast of Pensacola.

Second Lieutenant John Alley grew up in Colorado Springs. He went to high school at Air Academy. Then graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2006. He had been in Milton, Florida for the past few months for flight school.

"We don't know the details and we're not going to say what could have happened. But, we know he was a loving brother and we'll miss him," said his brother, Luke Alley.

John Alley was last seen Friday afternoon at flight school in Pensacola.

Earlier Saturday, police found his car totaled on a Florida street corner.
He was nowhere to be found. But, his keys, wallet and cell phone were still in the car.

Police think he may have been disoriented and wandered away from the scene.

"We're going to turn all our attention to our sister-in-law and nephew or niece that hasn't been born yet," said Luke Alley.

John Alley was a newlywed and soon to be father.

Pensacola police are conducting an investigation into his death.

I hope the police do a lengthy investigation. It is a long way from the crash site to the water. Including a steep hill, some thick weeds, a built up railroad track, and a line of rocks about 7 foot high and 20 foot across. Very challanging for anyone to accomplish in a clear state of mind. Very nice young man, will be dearly missed. Love and prayers to his family. .
