Officials from the Pratt County Sheriff's office in central Kansas report two residents of Rocky Ford, Colorado, were killed in a tornado Friday night.

The bodies of 33-year-old Gary Whitlow and 29-year-old Kimberly Whitlow were found near a vehicle discovered in a wheat field off of US Highway 54, 12 miles east of the town of Pratt, Kansas.

Officials report a large tornado ripped through the area Friday night, causing extensive damage to power lines and vehicles in the area. Emergency crews found a 2006 Saturn Ion about 150 yards off the highway in a field. The bodies were found nearby.

Investigators found no other victims in the area.
