There are some new disturbing details about the case of a Montezuma County man charged with killing his father.

According to court documents, 20-year-old Jeremiah Berry told police his father, Jack Berry, raped him. Berry said he then shot his father in the head, dismembered the body and fed the flesh to coyotes.

Berry was charged with second-degree murder on Wednesday in the death of his father, who had been missing since February. Detectives found body parts at several locations in the county.

Berry said his father said that he had been told by God his son needed a sex change to become his wife.
