An early morning car jacking and assault in Colorado Springs and the suspects are still on the loose.

Police say it happened as a man was driving his girlfriend to the 7 Eleven store at the 1760 Shasta Drive on the south side of town near Circle.

The victim says he was arguing with his girlfriend when she pulled out a knife and cut him on the hand. Then he says two guys showed up, hopped in his truck assaulted him and hijacked the truck with him inside.

The victim says he was able to jump out of the car near Airport and Murray Boulevard and police as of Friday morning they are still searching for the truck. The truck is described as gray 1968 Chevy pick-up.

is it a car or truck??? does colorado have a concealed carry law?? perhaps this guy could have been the hero if had shot the carjackers. what happened to the girlfriend???

Hmmmm, another smelly incident. 1st of all, was the "girlfriend" charged and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon? Were either of them robbed? Were there any witnesses? It seems very coincidental that "two guys" showed up (I presume on foot), hopping into his truck, assaulting him, and then driving off. What was the so-called "girlfriend" doing while this was going on? Could she have been "friends" with the 2 guys?? Lastly, not to be perceived as being an anti-drug paranoid dude, but... could this be a drug-deal gone wrong?? Sounds fishy to me.
