Navy's Joey Bullen kicked a 46-yard field goal with four-tenths of one second left today to beat Air Force 27-24.
It was a stunning comeback. Navy trailed 24-17 before Reggie Campbell tied it with a 40-yard run with two minutes and 22 seconds left.
Air Force kicker Donny Heaton then shanked a nine-yard punt and the Midshipmen moved seven yards to set up Bullen's game-winner.
Air Force is now two-and four and has lost four straight. Losing to arch-rival Navy Saturday surely hurt more than the rest.
The Falcons never trailed until Bullen's low-flying kick sailed through the upright.
The victory gives Navy a leg up in its quest to retain the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy, awarded to the team with the best record in games among the three major service academies.
